Circa: Duck Pond Houston Theatre reviews
Aaron Lewis was amazing!
Maxwell and Common were awesome. :( for Chrisette
Common tore the house down! He pumped up the crowd and sang all of his hits. His tribute to all eras of hip hop was great. When he broke out breakdancing, I screamed. It was awesome. Circa: Duck Pond was magnificent. ATL showed a lot of love. I enjoyed his show to the fullest. I loved every song. His concert flowed well from his oldest hits to his newest CD.
Chrisette Michele started off the concert. She sang 5 songs and walked off stage. After watching her sing, it was obvious that the venue was too big for her and maybe needs to just sing in clubs. There was nothing that moved me about her singing. She doesn't have a stage presence at all. This sounds mean but all of it is true...5 songs, no movement, no crowd participation, no love shown to the audience, no thank you's!
Disappointing
"I was hugely disappointed with Circa: Duck Pond. Last saw her at the Birchmere, where she was mesmerizing in a much smaller venue. At the Warner concert, she just phoned it in. The crowd was enthusiastic and up on their feet most of the show. However, she was 30 minutes late, left the stage for 20 minutes, and wasted time with people yelling requests she couldn’t understand. After singing for another 30-40 minutes, she left with no encore. It seemed terribly disrespectful to her fans. While she did perform all the big hits, often it was the crowd and backup singers taking over. When it was over, we all just left; concert done."
Absolute awesome rock show
I saw Circa: Duck Pond for the first time. As a lifelong music fan, I have attended numerous live band performances in the past. Without a doubt, this was the greatest concert I have ever attended. Their music is fantastic, but what truly distinguishes this band is their exceptional showmanship, elevating the performance to an entirely new level. I brought along three friends who were unfamiliar with them, and they were astounded by the band's exceptional talent. I have been perusing reviews from others and critics, and I wholeheartedly concur that this is the top rock band on tour. Don't miss the opportunity to see them in person; you will not be disappointed.
